Cary Bailen is the founder and President of Kidz for Life. She has her B.A. degree from Arizona State University and has studied and taught health education for over 16 years. She is owner and founder of Kidz for Life, as well as, author and creator of the HEMMY award winning comprehensive health education curriculum.
Cary has experience working as a Health Educator for the Arizona Department of Health Services Bureau of Women’s and Children’s Health. She has knowledge as a Nutrition Counselor, Teacher, P.E. Coach, and has been an active leader in community relations and fundraising. Cary has directed successful health summer camps as well as after school and enrichment programs.
She is presently the Chairperson for South Phoenix Healthy Kids Partnership, sitting on the Action for Healthy Kids School and Nutrition Environment Subcommittee, President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, After School Alliance, AZPHA School Health Section, and committed to meeting the goals of the national Healthy People 2010 Coalition. She is also working on community gardens creating sustainability, healthy foods, and beautification with the Tiger Mountain Foundation.
Cary has published health articles and has been on radio shows sharing health education to the community. She is a proud mother of her son Skyler who has learned healthy eating and loves all sports.
